Barbara Scott is a registered dietitian with a master’s in public health.  She is a UNR faculty member in the School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and has spent much of her professional career working with different public food programs including the Senior Nutrition program, the Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), School Nutrition Programs, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program.   She has seen the important contributions that all of these programs make to the people they serve, and looks forward to seeing how the Food Policy Council can help these programs serve our community perhaps in new and even more effective ways.
