Victoria is a member of the Geography faculty at UNR, where she teaches and studies food systems at local to global scales. She sees these systems as sets of interconnected political, economic, environmental, and cultural choices, and believes fervently that we can empower ourselves to make better ones. She is particularly interested in the relationships between agricultural practice and environmental change, including climate change, and is committed to helping create a regional foodscape that promotes the health of people and planet. She has a PhD from UC Berkeley and is an avid gardener trying to meet the challenges of growing food in Northern Nevada.
